Install the App
Add Morsly to your device's home screen for instant access — install as a Progressive Web App on iOS and Android.
Your guests don’t need to install anything from an app store to use Morsly — it’s a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs right in the browser. But for the best experience, encourage them to add it to their home screen. The procedure is the same as installing any other PWA — see the official platform guides linked below.
In this guide: Why install the app, how to on iOS and Android, and official references.
Why install the app?
When your guests add Morsly to their home screen, the app runs like any other installed app:
- One-tap access — no typing URLs or digging through bookmarks.
- Works offline — menus and place info are cached and available without an internet connection.
- Full-screen experience — no browser chrome, just the app.
- Faster loading — resources are cached locally after the first visit.
- Push notifications — receive updates when the menu changes or the venue moves (coming soon).
For regular customers — regulars at your café, frequent food truck followers — installing the app turns a web link into something they can open and use as naturally as any other app on their phone.
Add to home screen
The install process is a standard OS feature:
- On iOS: open Morsly in Safari, tap the Share button, scroll down, and tap Add to Home Screen. Apple Support guide. Only Safari can install PWAs on iOS — Chrome and other browsers cannot.
- On Android: open Morsly in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), and tap Install app or Add to Home Screen. Google Chrome Help.
On Android, an installed PWA also gains access to system sharing and can register as a default handler for Morsly links.
Removing the app
On both platforms, long-press the Morsly icon on your home screen and tap Remove App / Remove from Home Screen. This only removes the shortcut — your account, menu, and settings remain unchanged.
